Top Tips for Glowing Winter Skin!

Did you know that our skin is our largest organ??

Winter can wreak havoc on your skin, the cold dry air can leave skin itch red and irritated.  Cold conditions outside can leave your skin feeling chapped or raw while indoor heat takes moisture from the air and from your skin.

Dry, flakey, irritated skin should never be a reality so here are my top tips for Winter!

Step away from the hot tap!

Hot showers dry your skin out, it creates dry skin and prevents cells from retaining moisture - keep it warm.  If you have a dry itchy scalp its likely from hot water rather than dandruff!

Buff away the old!

Exfoliation helps replenish skin.  Between the cold air outside and dry indoor heating your cells dehydrate and die faster during winter.  You'll want to buff away these dead cells so new cells can come in healthier leaving skin smooth and able retain your moisturiser.  Pick a new fav here:  https://www.malsea.com/shop/#c...

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

Hydration is not only important on the inside from drinking water ( my 1st recommendation when choosing a beverage or green tea for its antioxidant benefits) but it's really important to hydrate the outside to.

Don't forget your lips.

Don't skip SPF!

Just because it's not summer doesn't mean we can skip this step.  The sun is still strong and still damages our skin especially when reflecting off snow and water.  Using SPF all year long will help reduce drying and premature ageing.

Sleep is ALWAYS important.
